EVENT DETAILS

What is Long Term Care?
Long-term care is described as providing care and services when a person is unable to perform activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, dressing, eating, transferring and continence) or has a severe cognitive impairment and requires primarily custodial care.

What does that mean to you?
Many of us are finding ourselves in the “sandwich” generation. This means that as our children grow older, so do our parents. Much of the care for our elder parents takes place at home — by adult children like us. In looking forward, we can help plan now for the future in knowing what the needs are when the time comes. Long Term Care can be a family's issue, not just an individual’s issue; by knowing more can help ease the process.

Come join Nancy Ogilvie as she gives an overview on the important of long term care as part of your financial strategies. In addition to educating you on what to consider when planning for long term care for you and your loved ones, Nancy will also outline some of the benefits being offered through NAWBO-NYC's partnership with Guardian Life that can help benefit you as a member.

Don't miss this great opportunity to learn more on Long Term Care and what our partnership with Guardian can do for you — Join us for a morning of breakfast and networking. Sign-up now!

Registration includes:
• A unique networking opportunity
• Breakfast in a relaxed environment
• A facilitator focused on making sure your time is well spent
• Great tips that you can implement right away

REGISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
All attendees must be registered 24 hours prior to the time and date of each event. This applies to both online and offline registration. We host our events at various locations and the venue security is often very tight. If your name is not on the door list for security clearance, we cannot guarantee that you will be admitted. Please make sure you register at least the day before each event.

Member's Comment
My membership has paid off in so many ways. The three Signature Awards Programs I designed helped bring in several new clients. And my involvement with updating the current NAWBO-NYC website has generated a major project and an office space for my company.
