EVENT DETAILS

Transitioning from Employee to Entrepreneur and Employer

Although we may be entrepreneurs and own our own businesses now, it is likely that we were all at one point or another in the position of being the employee, working for someone else. Some of us may still be working for someone else while we are starting up our businesses. Whether you are going through this transition now, or have been through it many times, we all face similar challenges.

Join us for this enlightening program when Beverly Daniel, founder of the CareerGrowth Group, will help us to:

  • Face the practical challenges when transitioning from employee to employer;
  • Address employment security concerns from the point of view of both employee and employer;
  • Learn how to hire (and fire) our first employee(s).

Beverly Daniel, MS, MBA (from NYU's Stern School) and founder of the CareerGrowth Group, is a well-known business executive and management consultant in the human capital development and management field. Beverly is a well-known speaker who has talked at NYU'S Entrepreneurship Conference several times, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), New York Women in Communications (NYWICI), and the American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT), among others. She has also spoken and lectured throughout the USA on the topics she knows best from over 25 years experience in: career management and development, executive coaching, executive search, and leadership development and leadership training. In more recent years, as she began coaching executives and management-level professionals, particularly investment bankers and hedge fund managers. Currently, her clients are professionals in the midst of career changes, as well as professionals reaching to attain new levels of success in their chosen fields. Two years ago, she expanded her practice to help entrepreneurs develop strategic business plans and marketing (new business) plans.

Come and learn about the employment possibilities for your own business, and take away tools you can use to hire the best employees, and be the best company to work for. If you want to hire a great team to help grow your business, this is one program you will not want to miss!

REGISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
All attendees must be registered 24 hours prior to the time and date of each event. This applies to both online and offline registration. We host our events at various locations and the venue security is often very tight. If your name is not on the door list for security clearance, we cannot guarantee that you will be admitted. Please make sure you register at least the day before each event.

Member's Comment
My membership has paid off in so many ways. The three Signature Awards Programs I designed helped bring in several new clients. And my involvement with updating the current NAWBO-NYC website has generated a major project and an office space for my company.
