BENEFITS COMMITTEE
The Benefits Committee has two goals. One is to obtain benefits for NAWBO-NYC members from external vendors. And the second is to help members connect with each other—both for personal and for business enrichment. After all, the greatest benefit we have is each other.

What We Do: The committee is responsible for collecting, evaluating and publishing special business discounts that:

• NAWBO-NYC members would offer to other members
(internal benefits known as Member2Member Benefits)
• Third party vendors would offer to NAWBO-NYC members (external benefits)
• NAWBO National corporate sponsors may offer to members
(we will coordinate with National accordingly)


In addition, the Benefits Committee may originate member benefits at the NYC Chapter level and present to NAWBO National as necessary.

What We Need: We are looking for members who:
• Enjoy connecting people together and managing small projects.
• Understand the varied business and personal needs of our members.
• Have strong organizational skills.
• Have strong personal skills



MEMBERSHIP OUTREACH COMMITTEE
The mission of the Membership Outreach Committee is to increase membership in NAWBONYC, and to encourage existing members to become involved in all that NAWBO-NYC has to offer.

What We Do: We call on event guests and new members to tell them about the benefits of NAWBO membership. We also reach out to existing NAWBO-NYC members to encourage them to become involved in our networking and educational events and to join a committee, and we answer any questions they have about NAWBO-NYC. We work with
other NAWBO-NYC committees to see how Membership Outreach can be of support to them as we communicate with members.

What We Need: We welcome new committee members who would like an opportunity to speak with, and meet, many other current and potential NAWBO-NYC members and help spread the word about all that our organization has to offer women business owners in NYC.
