WST INITIAL TEAM MEET

Initial Team Meeting: Within two weeks after having been assigned your team member, the two of you should have an initial in-person meeting. At that meeting you will:

• Share your goals, plans, aspirations — and obstacles to reaching them.
• Discuss what you want most from your team member
• Choose a regular time every week for your Weekly Check-ins to talk for 1 hour (it is important for teams to be in frequent contact with each other)
• Before you end your initial team meeting, go over your next week’s calendars with each other. Write down what your Success Team Partner is planning to do each day versa towards meeting her goals; she should do the same for you. If either of you thinks the other could use a “booster phone call” on a particular day, write that into your schedules also. (Note: don’t always wait for your Success Team Partner to ask for a booster call; ask when they think they may need one and handle hard times with awareness and humor)
• Setting Target Dates: Get a sense of the major time blocks for each of your tasks or projects. Like all target dates, it is tentative and can be adjusted and readjusted any time the circumstances warrant but you’ve still got to set it.
