Social Media has changed the marketing game. And in this game, there are no longer winners and losers as much as fans, friends, and followers. In this new environment, engaging an audience and building a following, or connecting a group, replaces the old marketing world wherein businesses crafted a message and blasted it to as many people as they could afford to reach. Authenticity and trust trump advertising dollars.
For the small business owner, this means that you have a huge advantage over traditional marketing practices. It is possible to create a niche for yourself by investing some time, some effort, and MUCH less money.
Join Technologist, Writer, & Teacher, Melea Seward, for an illuminating look at how to use social media tools and STORYTELLING to grow your business and build better, stronger relationships, both online and off.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Navigate the personal and the professional online.
- Create a stortytelling strategy to create content for your Blog and Social Media Outlets
- Create Content Everyday; Leverage the Content You Create Every Day to Build Your Influence, Enhance Your Relationships, and Grow Your Business.
Melea Seward is a technologist, writer, speaker, teacher, and marketer. She teaches Search Engine Marketing and Social Media at the Fashion Institute of Technology and teaches social networking for business owners, both one-on-one and in small group settings. In her consulting work, she regular works with small- and micro-business owners, internet start-ups, entrepreneurs, non-profits, universities and foundations to help them find and increase website traffic, connect people from disparate locations, build strong relationships on-line and off, and improve end-user experience. She has worked for GoMobo.com, W. W. Norton, Seeking Designers, The Bowne Foundation, Polytechnic University, the Institute for International Research, and more.
