Suri Kasirer is the founder and president of the New York based consulting firm, which bears her name. Kasirer Consulting, LLC specializes in government relations, public affairs and strategic consulting. For nearly a decade Suri has led her firm, which ranked number one among the top five political consulting firms in New York City for the last two years. A native New Yorker and graduate of Yeshiva University, Suri is active in political, cultural and social activities here in New York and across the country. Suri is a member of the Women’s Leadership Forum, the Ansonia Democratic Club, a board member of the National Jewish Democratic Council based in Washington, D.C. a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and serves on the business council of the New York State Democratic Committee. Suri has been recognized as one of the “Rising Stars” by Campaign & Elections magazine. Suri has been honored by the National Organization of Women (NY Chapter) and by various other charitable organizations. Suri was also recently named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Business by Crain’s New York Business.
After working as an educator and running a national outreach organization, Suri joined the executive staff of former New York State Governor Mario Cuomo, as his special assistant. After serving in State government, Suri established her consulting practice that today represents a broad spectrum on not-for-profits, political figures, cultural groups, and private business. Kasirer Consulting’s not-for-profit clients include the 92nd Street Y, Safe Horizon, American Cancer Society, Citymeals-on-Wheels, Volunteers of America, Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project, Museum of African Art, Non Traditional Employment for Women and a dozen other cultural groups, serving nearly every segment of New York’s diverse population.
Suri’s current and past political clients include former President Bill Clinton, Senator Edward Kennedy, Governor-Elect Jon Corzine, and New York City Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. Suri also served on the Finance Committee of New York State Attorney General Elliot Spitzer’s Campaign.
Kasirer Consulting, LLC business clients span the globe and are a diverse group that includes Cemusa, the Spanish subsidiary of FCC, SL Green Realty, T-Mobile, Elad Real Estate, owner of the Plaza Hotel and an Israeli based engineering development firm. Suri has also represented Goldman Sachs & Co., Israel’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and the American International Group (AIG).
